Oscar & Virginia Engfer

On May 4, 2022, Virginia Engfer went home to be with the Lord. Mom was born on December 28, 1944. She was 77 years old. We brought Mom and Dad to live near to us to care for them in July of 2020. Dad passed away on December 12, 2020 of brain and lung cancer. Sadly Mom had a stroke on January 28 2021 from which she never really recovered. We had her in our home and then found a wonderful place that could care for her 24/7 called Prestige Assisted Living in Henderson, NV. They were wonderful to her. She never walked again after her stroke and slowly declined for the last 16 months. Fortunately, she could talk and enjoyed visits with Kate and me and her 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mom will be missed! She was a simple, loving person who had a deep faith. As her only child, we had a deep connection and she did the best she knew how to raise me. I am forever grateful. May she rest in the arms of her Savior and enjoy the presence of her loved ones who preceded her, especially Dad.
