Patricia Lee

Patricia Lee, mother of five and wife of John Peter Lee has passed away of natural causes at the age of 93. Patricia Lee was a wife, mother of five, sister, aunt, grandmother and a true lover of the arts, humanities and travel.  Most of all, she was a generous and amazing woman with a deep and abiding love for her family. 

Patricia was born in Springville, Utah on October 27, 1925 to Irwn "CY" and Rene Bergera Crandall.  The eldest of three daughters, Dorene Crandall and Diana Crandall being the other two siblings. 

The Crandall Family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1934.  Patricia attended the only high school in town in the 1940s, Las Vegas High School.  While attending high school, Patricia worked at the only movie theater in town, the El Portel.  The Crandall Family were true Pioneers of the then fledging small town of Las Vegas in the vast expanse of the Great Basin.

Patricia chose to attend the University of Nevada Reno where she obtained her BA in Creative Dance and Chorography.  It was there that she met her future husband, John Peter Lee.  After John graduated from the University of San Francisco Law School they returned to Las Vegas where John Peter would forge a legal career while Patricia took the helm in raising their young family.  Their marriage lasted for nearly 65 years. 

Patricia's love of family, children and grandchildren was steadfast and unwavering.  A compassionate person, Patricia was always ready to listen and give advice on most any subject one could imagine.  She was a member of the original Las Vegas Service League, the Junior League, and enjoyed her association with the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Lee Zornes, son-in-law, Gary Zornes, her son Brendan Joseph Lee, and husband, John Peter Lee.  She is survived by her daughter, Allyson Benedict(Harry), her sons James Lee (Kelly) and Brian Lee (Julie) and six grandchildren; Marrisa Benedict, Alexander Benedict, Isabelle Lee, Ethan Lee, Nicholas Lee and Ashley Lee.

Services will be held Friday, December 14th at 9am at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89135
