Rocco Robert Rachetta

Rocco R. Rachetta “Papa Bear”

Born November 9, 1941 in Syracuse, New York to Anthony and Bianca Rachetta. He moved to Las Vegas in 1978 and has been a resident ever since. He is survived by his wife and companion of over 35 years, Sadie Ableman, his sister, Angeline Curtis, 3 sons, Anthony, Rocco (Mary) and Robert (Nancy) Rachetta, 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He lived life on his terms to the fullest. He enjoyed his family, sports,  shooting the breeze with the guys. He loved betting on the horses and he visited Saratoga Race Track whenever he could. He was a hard worker and provided his special wisdom to all those who were around him. He loved his job and worked until he took ill in July of 2022. He owned and operated Rocco’s Carpets in Syracuse, New York and Las Vegas Nevada. He also worked for the Carpet Barn, DelGrosso Floor Covering and most recently Interior Logic Group. He instilled this work ethic in his 3 sons and his legacy is continued in his Grand-Children and Great-Grand-Children. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family, friends and co-workers.
