Rodney Fredrick Strong was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He had a calm disposition and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Rodney transitioned from this life on March 20, 2021 at the age of 61. He was born on June 25, 1959 to James and Kasie Strong in Fairhope, AL. He grew up in Omaha, NE until he moved to Minden, MI at the age of 14. Rodney was baptized at an early age and served on the usher board and music department at All Nations Temple COGIC. He graduated from Minden High School and attended college at Western Michigan University until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1981.

He was united in holy matrimony to Ina Spence on March 26, 1982. From this union were born four children. Rodney was a family man who always provided and cared for his family. He placed his family first and remained fiercely devoted to them his entire life. He served as a Navy corpsman until he retired in February 2000 and relocated to Henderson NV.

He was predeceased by his parents, James Strong and Kasie Hampton; brother Edward Strong; brother Orlando Strong; sister Vivian Strong; sister Allean Strong; sister Kathleen Strong; and brother Chester Strong.

Those who remain to cherish his memories are his wife Ina Strong of Henderson NV; daughter Atiya Spence of Henderson NV; son Rodney Strong (Nicolette) of Puyallup WA; daughter Anya Broaders (Anthony) of Douglasville GA; son Julian Strong of Henderson NV; brother James Strong (Lynda) of Willow Grove PA; sister Carol Larry (Admiral) of Henderson NV; brother Leonard Strong of Omaha NE; grandchildren Falcon, Jaylen, Aubri, Amaria, Nyla, Jordyn, Alani, Liana, Anthony Jr., Rodney Jr., Amaya and a host of family and friends.

"No time to cry. Don't shed a tear. I am with God. Do not fear. I kept the faith. My spirit is light. I am at peace now. I fought the good fight."
