Ronald Howard Coleman McCord was born February 8, 1945 in Nashville Tennessee to John Dean McCord and Willa Coleman McCord. Ronald, affectionately called ‘Ronnie’, was the only child born to this union, Ronald departed this life on January 29, 2019, peacefully at his home with his wife at his side. He is preceded in death by both his parents and his first wife Aloyd McCord.

Ronald was baptized at an early age in Nashville, TN and attended church with his grandmother. Ronald moved to Clariton PA with his family and completed high school in Clariton. After graduation he returned to TN and completed two years of college at Tennessee State.

Ronald went on to serve three years five months and five days in the United States Air Force. He was proud to have served his country and could go on and on about his ‘Air Force days’.

Ronal was a 45 year Resident of Las Vegas, NV. Over the years Ronald was employed as a Teamster ‘heavy truck’ driver and a real estate salesman, Ron maintained his realtor license for twenty five years and at one time he and Aloyd owned their own  realty company “McCord & McCord. 

In 2016 Ron joined Tried Stone Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R. W. Smith, he seldom missed bible study or Sunday service, he re-committed his life to Christ and he was a faithful member.

Ron was a great story teller; he loved to talk about fast cars, big trucks and guns. Ron was loving and loyal, if he was your friend no one was going to hurt you. When asked how he wanted to be remembered he said ‘I never tried to hurt anybody and I loved my family’.

Ronald Howard Coleman McCord is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Ellis McCord; his son Ronald Daryn McCord; daughter Rhonda McCord, son-in-law Devon Brian Fitzhugh, grandsons Daryan Fitzhugh, Deryc Fitzhugh and god-daughter’s  Ebonee (Thurman) Nelson, Demetrice Randolph Robinson, and several loving and faithful friends and loved ones.

Internment services will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada on February 12, 2019 at 1:20pm
